Some of our competitors offer a 25 year guarantee, however, this can often be misleading and only cover the powder-coating, not all parts. At Origin, there is no ambiguity: our 20 year guarantee may cover all manufactured parts, as well as the powder-coating, which is what makes it so unique.
In this article, we explain how and why Origin is able to offer such a long guarantee.
Total control
What makes Origin different is that we have total control over design, fabrication and supply. Origin is both a fabricator and a systems house, which gives us greater control of the supply chain. Many of our competitors are either one or the other, which can not only compromise quality but also create longer lead times. Origin is renowned for offering the quickest lead times in the door and window industry.
What’s more, Origin has its own Research and Development Team that is constantly working to find new and better ways of ensuring Origin products operate smoothly and effectively over a longer period of time.
State of the art factory
Origin has invested heavily in the very latest manufacturing and procurement tools and machinery to ensure the best quality and the fastest lead times.
We are constantly working to improve our UK-based factory, made up of highly trained craftspeople, to maintain the quality we are renowned for whilst also keeping up with increasing demand.
On top of this, the Origin factory is diligently run, highly organised and boasts an incredibly efficient manufacturing process. Each member of staff working in the factory works to timings and has a designated workstation that they concentrate on. We ensure our staff take regular breaks to avoid errors and every product is thoroughly checked after every workstation. This way, we know that the product you receive is only the best quality.

Origin Accredited Partners
Another reason why Origin is able to offer a 20 year guarantee is because we work with Origin Accredited Partners. Our partners attend our training so that when they come to install your doors or windows, we have no doubt that it has been installed exactly the way it should be.
We host regular training days for partners at our factory in High Wycombe, so they can see exactly how the products are manufactured and have complete confidence when installing.
Our accredited trade partners are registered with industry bodies such as FENSA or CERTASS, meaning they will be able to offer you a guarantee on the installation and ensure the installation meets building regulations. Being FENSA registered also means that our trade partners are able to sign off their work without involvement with the local authority, which could save you time and money.
By using our highly trained trade partners, you will be covered by our manufacturers guarantee of up to 20 years, as well as our partner’s installation guarantee. Origin is only able to offer a 1 year manufacturers guarantee to customers that choose to install Origin products themselves, because we cannot be certain that the doors were installed correctly.
Tried and tested
To go that bit further, we also cycle test our products to ensure they are robust. For example, Origin Bi-fold Doors passed 50,000 lead door cycles and 10,000 full cycles, which means they can provide the equivalent of 25 years use. Our window hinges are also tested to 50,000 cycles and feature a friction adjustment without metal-to-metal contact ensuring minimum wear.
