What glazing option should you choose for your internal room divider?

The type of glazing you can choose can have an impact on the style, design and practicality of your internal room divider. With the Origin Internal Doors, working with your chosen installer, you are able to choose a glazing option of either 4mm, 6mm, or 6.8mm. You are also able to choose between the options of clear, frosted or reeded glass.

Consider the location for the door when you are choosing a glass option – for example, if you are fitting your room divider in an area where you don’t want any distractions, you may want to choose reeded or frosted glass. Your installer will source the glass for you - so you will need to discuss this with them, as Origin do not provide glazing.

Choosing a colour for your internal room divider frames

When it comes to choosing a colour for your internal room divider panel frames, popular options include classic colours such as white, black and grey. If you choose an oak or pine internal room divider, however, you may want to enjoy the natural colour of the wood. Ultimately – the right choice for you depends on the style and colour of your surroundings and your preferred aesthetic.

At Origin, we offer our internal room dividers in over 150 RAL colours. Sleek and luxurious, the frames create a décor focal point and seamlessly blend your furniture and interior design style for a visually striking finish.

Choosing glazing bars - do you want a minimalist design or more of an Art Deco look?

Many internal room dividers, such as the Origin OI-30, allow you to add horizontal or vertical glazing bars. You can customise this option to achieve your ideal internal room divider panel style. For example – you may want to increase the number of glazing bars on your door panel to deliver a full heritage look. For a more simple, minimalistic design, you can decrease the number of glazing bars for larger glass panels. You may want to choose this option to match your modern, minimalistic living room.

The frame depth for the Origin Internal Door OI-30 is 40mm and the sightline is just 30mm.
