All products will be sold in accordance with the relevant Terms and Conditions below.
Your attention is drawn in particular to the provisions of clause 2
This limited warranty (“Warranty”) is given by Origin Frames Limited (registered number 4449292) whose registered office is at Broad House, 1 The Broadway, Old Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL9 5BG (“Origin”) in respect of Origin Doors, Origin Windows, Origin Residential Doors, Origin Internal Doors and Origin Inline Sliders (“Products”). This Warranty is given to the owner of the property in which the Products are originally installed (“End User” “You”) and is subject to all of the provisions set out herein.
During the warranty period we undertake to rectify any and all defects to the Origin product which can be proved to be attributed to a material or manufacturing fault. We pledge at our discretion either to exchange or repair the defective part. We do not accept costs for dismantling and installation nor for building works required. Replaced parts become our property, and we reserve the right to request they be returned.
This Warranty is in addition to and does not affect your statutory rights in relation to the Products.
- WARRANTY PERIOD & COVERAGE
- Subject to the provisions of this Warranty, Origin warrants for up to 20-years from the date of installation of the Products (“Standard Warranty Period”) that they will be free from defects in design, material, and manufacture. See 1.6 for full coverage periods per product.
- If notice of a claim is made in accordance with clause 3 below during the Standard Warranty Period, then Origin may at its sole discretion and subject to the provisions of this Warranty supply parts ONLY to repair the defective Products at no cost to you, up to a cost equal to the original purchase price paid for the Products. If Origin (in its absolute discretion) decides that the Products cannot be repaired, or it is uneconomical to repair, then Origin will replace the Products with Products of the same or similar make and specification. All replaced or repaired Products shall be warranted for the unexpired portion of the Standard Warranty Period. Labour costs are not included.
- This Warranty is transferable to subsequent owners of the property to which the Products were originally installed (“the Property”). This Warranty is void if an Origin product has been removed from the original property. This Warranty will not be transferrable in any other circumstances.
- The availability and period of the Standard Warranty depends on the relevant part of the Product and whether the Products are installed in a “Hazardous Environment”, which is defined below in the Standard Warranty Product Table (1.6)
- The Standard Warranty for Products installed in a Hazardous Environment is also subject to the Products being cared for, cleaned, and maintained as outlined in the maintenance instructions, which are available on the Origin website.

- WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATION
- The warranty does not cover damage caused through:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Improper installation or failure to follow Origins guidelines.
- Damage caused to the frames during the install stage in particular during glass installation inc. blind installation – Integral, External or any other window dressings.
- Negligent care and failure to follow maintenance as outlined in Origin's Operational Guide, including specific care instructions for hazardous environments where applicable.
- Improper initial and subsequent operation.
- Negligent or wanton destruction.
- External influences such as fire, water, salts, alkaline solutions, or acids.
- Abnormal environmental Influences.
- Mechanical damage through Improper fitting.
- Unapproved priming and other surface protection treatments.
- Incorrect or too late applied surface protection treatments.
- Repair by non-qualified persons.
- Use of or addition of non-Origin parts without prior written permission from Origin.
- Events considered as Force Majeure these include: Acts of God, war, terrorism, riot, civil commotion, interference by civil or military authorities, national or international calamity, armed conflict, malicious damage, nuclear, chemical or biological contamination, sonic boom, explosions, collapse of building structures, fires, floods, storms, earthquakes, loss at sea, epidemics or similar events, natural disasters or extreme adverse weather conditions
- The entire warranty will be considered void in the event that:
- The Products cannot be identified as an Origin Product
- The Products are used for a commercial purpose or any other purpose other than for which the Products were designed.
- If you (or any person on your behalf) alter or repair the Products without the written consent of Origin.
- Origin was not notified at the time of purchase that the Products were going to be installed in a Hazardous Environment
- Origin is not provided with full information to support a claim as set out in clause 3.1
- Origin is not permitted reasonable access to the Property where requested and given a reasonable period of time to carry out any assessments or supply any parts.
- Products are purchased second hand or through private sales separate from the Property, e.g., eBay or ex-display products. In the interest of clarity, no Warranty is provided for products obtained in this manner unless previously agreed in writing directly from Origin.
- A product refund has been issued. This excludes refunds give by suppliers for services completed by themselves, or a prior written agreement has been given by Origin that the warranty term will remain in effect.
- All rights and benefits under this Warranty will be forfeited by you if a fraudulent declaration or claim is made.
- General Limitations
- This Warranty does NOT apply to the installation of the Product & does not cover any labour services relating to installation or replacement of parts claimed.
- This Warranty does not apply to parts or components added to the Products outside of the manufacturing process (including glass) by any third party or by the End User.
- Origin will not be responsible or liable for any form of decoration or making good associated with the repairing or replacing of the Products, except where damage or the need for decoration or making good is caused by Origin’s negligence during the course of such repair or replacement.
- Except as expressly set out in this Warranty, Origin shall not be responsible or liable to you for losses that you suffer arising out of or in connection with this Warranty. Without prejudice, Origin shall not be responsible for:
- loss of income or revenue.
- loss of profit.
- loss of business loss of anticipated savings.
- loss of data.
- any costs associated with installation or required remedial works.
- any waste of time; or
- any losses whatsoever caused by or arising from any breach of any terms of an agreement (whether stand alone or part of any larger agreement) for sale of the Products between you and the supplier of the Products.
- Nothing in this Warranty excludes or limits in any way Origin's liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by Origin's negligence.
- any breach of the obligations implied by - Sale of Goods Act, Supply of Goods and Services Act, or Consumer Protection Act
- any other matter for which it would be illegal or unlawful for Origin to exclude its liability.
- The warranty does not cover damage caused through:
- CLAIMS PROCEDURE
- To make a claim under this Warranty, you must: -
- Contact your installer or supplier first and the installer or supplier will obtain any replacement parts from Origin or arrange any repairs covered by themselves if necessary.
- If you are unable to contact the original installer or supplier due to insolvency, then you should engage with an alternative installer or supplier to attend your site and assess the remedial work required. Origin will work with any installer/supplier to issue replacement parts where it has been validated to be a manufacturing failure.
- Using an alternative supplier for remedial work, will not invalidate your manufacturer's warranty however any damage caused, or alteration made to the Product by this work may not be covered. Any costs or fees associated with the new installer will not be covered by Origin. Your installer/supplier will need to submit a Warranty Claim on your behalf.
- The information required in the Warranty Claim submitted by your supplier must include (but shall not be limited to):
- Installer or supplier contact details. (inc. original supplier if different from the claimant)
- Full details of the alleged defect in your Product including photographs and a detailed description.
- Warranty claims can be submitted by your supplier/installer via one of the following options:

- Post to Origin Frames Limited. Stuart House, Castle Estate. Coronation Road. High Wycombe. Buckinghamshire HP12 3TA (Attn: Warranty Team)
- If all information required by the Warranty Claim Form is not provided in full, Origin will not be able to begin the claim process which could delay your claim and/or result in it being rejected.
- To make a claim under this Warranty, you must: -
- GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
By accepting this Warranty, you agree that this Warranty, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it (including non-contractual disputes and claims) or its subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in relation to such disputes or claims.
