Origin are the UK's leading manufacturer of bespoke desirable aluminium bi-folding doors and windows
Everything we do at Origin is underpinned by a belief in doing things better - a mindset established by cousins Neil Ginger and Victoria Brocklesby when they founded the company in 2002. What began as a family business with a focus on crafting the UK’s best quality bi-folding doors has grown into an internationally recognised brand, known for precision engineering and industry-leading innovations.
To this day, Neil and Victoria remain closely involved in the business, driving continuous improvement and upholding the high standards Origin is known for. No detail is ever overlooked, which cumulatively comes together to create the Origin difference.
Origin launched the Soho Window, the enhanced OS-29+ Sliding Door and celebrated our 1 millionth product being manufactured
2025
Launched the highly anticipated Soho and Contemporary styled products
2024
Invested substantially in our product quality by launching our very own state-of-the-art in-house powdercoating facility - OPC (Origin Powder Coating)
2023
Celebrating 20 years of innovation, the first Origin Internal Door (OI-30) was launched. 2022 also saw two manufacturing milestones being achieved. These were 400,000 doors and 300,000 windows being produced
2022
Launched a further sightline option on the Patio Sliding Door Range (OS-29). This was also the year Origin acquired a 55,000ft warehouse facility to improve storage capacity by 82%
2021
Won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade
2020
Launched the Slimline Bi-fold Door (OB-49), and The Origin Patio Sliding Door System (OS-44 and OS-77). Additionally, we partnered with and had our products certified by Secured by Design
2019
The Slimline OW-70 system was introduced to the range alongside the Origin Premium Window (OW-80)
2018
Launched the latest addition to the Origin Home Range – the Origin Inline Slider, and two business milestones were achieved - 200,000 doors and 50,000 windows were manufactured
2017
Origin underwent a rebrand, launched the Origin Residential Door and brought to market its very own online quoting and ordering system - OSS
2016
Origin won ‘Manufacturing Company of the Year’ at the International Business Awards. Origin also became a corporate patron of local charity, Rennie Grove Peace
2015
Origin celebrated the manufacture of its 100,000th door and launched the Origin Window
2014
Achieved Global ISO 9001 Accreditation for Product Quality and Processes, and shipped first set of Origin Doors to USA after achieving the hurricane testing standard (HVHZ)
2013
2011 saw the launch of the unparalleled 20-year guarantee
2011
Rebranded from ‘Easifold 3000’ to ‘Origin’ and launched iconic ‘Your Lead Time, Not Ours’ industry-leading delivery promise
2010
First fully equipped doors manufacturing facility acquired
2005
Origin UK expanded showroom presence with showrooms opening nationwide
2003
Cousins, Neil Ginger and Victoria Brocklesby, established Origin and launched branded as Easifold 3000
