Origin Internal Door frame sizes explained
When choosing your ideal frame and door sizes, we cater to bespoke sizes, providing they adhere to the minimum and maximum size options. An individual door can be sized up to 1,000mm wide and up to 2,500mm tall, with the option to go up to 3,048mm in height by coupling a fixed light above, allowing you to really make a design statement.
In terms of frame width, the Internal French Doors have a slightly larger maximum frame width of 2,060mm in comparison to other configurations. However, for larger apertures, you can position doors next to our Fixed Screen option, or create a wall using a combination of Single and French Door frames and Fixed Screens, which will allow you to fit the OI-30 into much wider openings. The Origin Internal Door OI-30 has a frame depth of 40mm.

Glazing thickness size options
When specifying your ideal Origin Internal Door – there are three different options of glazing choose from. You can select between 4mm, 6mm or 6.8mm glazing, depending on how thick you would like the glass. Please note: Origin do not provide the glazing so please contact your Local Origin Trade Partner if you wish to discuss this further.
What configuration options are available for the Origin Internal Door OI-30?
Room dividers can be used in a variety of different homes and spaces – so they are often available in a range of configuration and size options. Origin Internal Doors allow you to choose a door in either a Single door, French door, Fixed screen or a combination along with a purpose built corner post to create a corner configuration.
In addition to these configuration options - you can also choose fixed frames, either to the left side, right side, or fixed above the door. As mentioned above, fixed frames could also be used in isolation to create a screen between rooms or allow added light without completely partitioning your space.
What is a corner configuration set, and what are the size options for this?
A corner internal door set is ideal for creating a completely separate room. They are commonly used for creating breakout rooms or office rooms, however, corner configuration door sets can be used wherever you want them – for example, to make a home office, snug or sanctuary, or even a private gym. An internal door corner set is perfect for people who want more privacy in their space, and who want to create a new space for a different purpose.
Corner configuration sets such as the Origin OI-30 Corner Set incorporate both Single, Fixed Screen and French Door configuration options.
If you choose a corner configuration, the French, Fixed and Single Door size limitations will apply – depending on which option you choose.

Should your doors open inwards or outwards?
When choosing an Origin Internal Door, you also have the choice over which way your doors open – inwards or outwards. This allows you the flexibility of making the most of your space, particularly if you are using your OI-30 internal door in a smaller room.
When choosing whether your doors open inwards or outwards – consider the space you have available. For example, perhaps you have furniture blocking one side of the internal room divider, making it difficult for them to open in that direction. Ensure your doors open to the side where you have the most space, and that is convenient for your surroundings.
Ordering a bespoke internal room divider
Like all Origin doors – our OI-30 internal door is a bespoke door, meaning you can specify the right size requirements for your space. In addition to choosing your ideal overall size, you also have the following bespoke options:
- Configuration
- Colour
- Opening direction - inwards or outwards
- Glazing bar configuration
- Handle style and colour
- Beading
- Blackout panels or kickplates
