A lot can change in five years, including what we want from our homes. In 2017, we surveyed 2,000 Brits to find out what we perceived as the pinnacle ‘forever home’ and found that the ideal house was a four-bedroom, detached property in the countryside, worth £458,000.
Since then, Brits’ lifestyles have changed dramatically. The global pandemic forced us to stay home, making us live, work, and play in the same place. With many of us continuing to use our homes for several functions, our perception of our space has changed. We ran the survey again this year and found that we now want more from our forever home than ever before…
