Why Origin?

After buying this incredible property just over a year ago, the homeowners were set on adding details that would give this traditional home a unique touch. Not wanting to change too much of the properties existing character, switching out the doors and windows for something a little more modern felt like the perfect opportunity to add a bit of their personality into their new home. Working within the doors and windows industry themselves, it’s fair to say these homeowners knew their fair share on what the market had to offer. Loving the soho trend, the owners were set on ‘steel-look’ doors to compliment the heritage style of their property. Using design touches throughout of contrasting modern elements complimented by the existing traditional charm, they’ve managed to create a home that truly encompasses the meaning of Soho. Having worked with, sold and fitted Origin products before, this couple knew Origin were a great supplier to rely on, commenting on the reliability, quality and bespoke nature of the Origin offering, it allowed this family to truly create the products of their dreams.

A bit about the project…

Wanting something a little different, the homeowners took advantage of Origins colour offering, with over 150 Ral colours to choose from, they eventually settled on the stunningly unique choice of Ral 6015, Black Olive. Seen featured across two sets of Origins brand new OB36+ soho external doors, OI30 soho internal doors and OW70 windows with the addition of soho bars, this property has been transformed by this collection of Origins Soho products. Complimented by our range of Antique brass and signature knurled hardware, the attention to detail on colour theory and materials have created a sense of modern sophistication that now seamlessly runs throughout their property. As a bonus, with Origins slim sightlines, the true divides do not hinder the view of the stunning countryside scenery, in-fact do they opposite, by perfectly framing picturesque squares of landscape, the doors and windows draw your eyes towards the breathtaking views surrounding the property. It’s safe to say that this couple’s boldness in going for something different has one hundred percent paid off, their home has been completely elevated by their choice of doors and windows and has allowed them to put their own stamp on this beautiful heritage country home.

The outcome…

Since completing their renovation, the family have said to be over the moon with the result. The homeowners commented on how the products are ‘so much more than just doors and windows.’ Using the green products as a design feature of each room, they love seeing how the colour is affected by the ever-changing natural light throughout the day. Sometimes a bright and bold green and later at night, a moody almost black colour, the doors and windows help to set the tone of a room. Claiming it was one of the ‘best decisions’ in their renovation, the couple have been inundated with compliments on both the colour and style of products they have gone for and have been quick to recommend to Origin products to both family, friends and their customers.
