This detached mid-century home has been transformed by a full make over of Origin products

Why Origin?

The family bought this property back in 2008, with dreams of one day renovating it to become their perfect, forever home. After years of saving and planning, it was important that the home felt cohesive, with it being such a big project, they were looking to create a seamless feel between old and new. After a one stop shop, they found Origin; allowing them to specify their whole home, with entirely bespoke configurations, the couple were able to create a continuous aesthetic, practically designed for their family’s needs. Not only did the 20 year guarantee give the homeowners peace of mind, but when doing supplier research they found Origins lead time offering to be unbeatable. With a lot of their renovations taking place in 2020, Origin were one of the only suppliers able to continue manufacturing. Due to our investment in stock and our British based manufacturing units, it allowed us to continue business as normal with adapted covid safety restrictions, ensuring all rules were followed. This made Origin the obvious choice for this family and allowed them to complete their renovations without issue.

A bit about the project…

The homeowners dream was to transform this property into the perfect modern family home, with every door, and window designed specifically to maximise the space and enhance the natural light. Now every room in the house feels bright and airy, with a clean and contemporary feel. Creating the ideal combination of open and broken plan living, this property is now the epitome of the ideal, modern family home. With sleek, slate grey (RAL 7015) doors and windows, contrasting against the white render and timber cladding, they make the perfect statement, whilst complimenting it’s surroundings. This house really has thought of every detail, with solar glass used on the bifolds to help cool the house in the summer, to an interchangeable golf room, that can be transformed with our bifolds to become the perfect party room. This home has been designed to have multiple uses, prioritizing the practicalities of ever changing family life and using Origin products to help achieve this.

The Addition of products…

After seeing Origins new internal door launch in 2022, the family knew this product would be the perfect finishing detail to their home. Already over the moon with their existing products, there was no hesitation as the whether these doors were the right fit for this families home. With Origins colour offering, of over 150 RAL colours, it meant the family were able to colour match their new internal doors to their existing products in slate grey (RAL 7015m) to keep a continuous aesthetic from inside to out. With the homeowners wanting to replace every internal door in the house, they opted for white laminate glass on rooms such as bathrooms and bedrooms to maintain privacy. - This glass has a similar look and behavior to satin or frosted glass, still allowing light to flood through, but the opaque internal finish of the glass, means that no shapes or movement can be seen from the other side, allowing maximum privacy. As well as the bespoke glass choices, the family opted for our signature knurled handle in satin nickel, this kept the ongoing theme of silver hardware and complimented the interior style seen throughout their home.

The outcome…

Since completing their renovation, the family couldn’t be happier with their new home. Taking advantage of the space, they are now keen hosts, excited to show off there years of hard work, the owners now love having people over and making use of the spaces they spent so long designing. Since completing, the couple have told us they have been inundated with compliments, even having passes by coming to comment on how great the house now looks. Overall the family are over the moon with Origins products and services and have told us they have been quick to recommend us to all of their friends and family.
