Spacious Holiday Home captures a beautiful view of the sea through Origin Sliding Doors

Why Origin? 

When helping complete a renovation on his daughter's property in 2020, Simon visited YPE’s showroom and saw a large set of Sliding Doors and thought they would be the perfect solution on his own build that he was undertaking on the coast with a sea view.  

Simon was impressed by the quality of the product combined with the smooth installation process on his daughter’s house, which is why when planning the renovation of the Beach House he contacted YPE to get the new project underway. 

A bit about the project… 

When planning what the house would look like once it had finished its revamp, Simon always had the vision of bringing the beach and sea views right into the house to create a stunning viewpoint for themselves and the visitors who rent the house for luxury holidays. In the vision, the house was flooded with natural light and the ability to enjoy the beach without having to get off the sofa was something that he had in mind.It’s fair to say that the execution of this vision has been achieved by having the Sliding Doors installed with minimum sightlines. 

There is a nifty downstairs bar serving area which has been created by using Origin’s Bi-folding Windows. This works perfectly for those enjoying the sunset sat outdoors on the bar stools. 

The Jet Black colour was selected for the OS-77 Sliding Doors and OB-49 Bi-folding Window to match the burned Cedar cladding and the slate roof, creating a harmonious house. 

The outcome… 

Speaking with Simon, he has said: “Our visitors find the views exceed their expectations when the Sliding Doors are open.” “We are delighted every time we visit and get a buzz of excitement as we go in to the sea facing rooms”.  

Simon has been so impressed with YPE’s Customer Experience & Installations, as well as the quality of Origin’s products, that he is planning another project and both YPE’s expertise & Origin products are the first port of call.
