Origin Internal Doors are a must have to complete a beautiful barn conversion, after homeowner spots them on Instagram.

Why Origin?

Having already had a plethora of Origin Bi-folds installed by Lifestyle Windows Ilkeston, Jenni had seen Origin’s launch of the Internal Doors on Instagram and knew they would be the perfect fit for the walkway between the open plan living space and the rest of the house. The thought would be to create a glass corridor utilising the structural beams to create a beautifully unique divide between the work and living balance, in which the Internal Doors have done so perfectly.

Confidence in Origin…

When initial contact was made with Lifestyle Windows in Ilkeston, Jenni was invited to their showroom where they were able to see the range of options for their Class Q development, with regards to aluminium products. A big factor as to why Jenni decided to opt for Origin is the products are manufactured in the UK, which meant the fast lead times were favourable and were in-line with their project timelines. This was no different for the Internal Doors, which are able to be manufactured and delivered quicker than other brands offering similar-styled products.

A bit about the project...

The Dark Barn is a self-build project which started as a cow shed, but with the ideas and imagination of Jenni; it has now become their forever home with every detail planned and executed to match their dreams. The beams in which the Internal Doors fit between are the central structure point, which allowed for them to be a main feature of the room - which we think you will all agree they do. Another added bonus for Jenni was when the door is shut, the noise created by the rest of the family upstairs cannot be heard creating a peaceful area without compromising on the sharing of natural light. The handle and lock were colour matched to continue the immaculate colour scheme throughout the property, and to add the additional privacy option when needed.

Plans for the future…

As this is half of the barn conversion, the other half is scheduled for the summer to have the whole conversion finished. The current development has been designed to create a comfortable dwelling which is now their forever home. We are looking forward to seeing how the rest of the project ends up with the whole barn being renovated with an even bigger array of Origin products!
