This listed building conversion in Stamford brings together the character of a historic property with the benefits of modern aluminium glazing. Working alongside new and emerging Partner, Choice Windows, the project required a considered approach to ensure the new installations complemented the building's original architecture.
At the front of the property, an OB36+ Single Door has been installed behind the original entrance door. This approach was required from the council's perspective due to the property's listed status, allowing the original architectural feature to remain while introducing a modern, high-performance entrance solution discreetly behind it.
Respecting the Original
The front entrance demonstrates how modern glazing can be introduced into a listed property without compromising its established character. By positioning the OB36+ Single Door behind the original door, the installation respects the building's heritage while providing a contemporary solution for everyday use.
The clean lines of the aluminium door remain intentionally understated from the exterior, allowing the original entrance to retain its prominence and ensuring the property's historic character remains at the forefront.
Opening Up the Rear
At the rear of the property, two sets of Soho OB36+ External Doors create a very different impression. Opening out towards the garden, the doors provide expansive glazed openings that frame the beautiful views beyond the property.
The bold, industrial elegance of the Soho style adds a contemporary architectural element to the rear of the home, creating a striking contrast with the traditional character of the building while connecting the interior with its surroundings.

From the discreet OB36+ Single Door behind the original entrance to the two sets of Soho OB36+ External Doors overlooking the garden, each installation has been considered to complement its setting while bringing modern performance and design to this historic property.
