Bi-fold Doors Create Flexible Living for The Callum Family
The Callum family moved into their home little over 10 years ago. Although the property had recently gone undergone renovations, they decided that they’d like to redecorate and also had ideas to incorporate more light and enhance the feeling of space.
The Callum’s decided that they’d like to get a set of bi-fold doors added to the back of their property, to open up their kitchen and allow for more flexible living between the garden and the inside of their home.
Finding the Perfect Solution
After doing some research on a range of bi-fold door systems, the Callum’s discovered the Origin Bi-fold Door. They were impressed by the 20-year guarantee offered on the doors, which would mean that they would last for decades. This promise gave the Callum’s confidence in the system. They also particularly liked that the doors are designed and manufactured in Britain, giving them further peace of mind about the quality of Origin’s products.
Picking the Right Configuration
Initially, the Callum’s wanted a four-door set. However, the Origin website offered them further information about the possibilities with their aperture width. It stated that a three-door set would allow for wider panes, thus allowing for more glass and light. A three-door set also allows for the doors to stack neatly to one side without needing a mullion, which means for a slimmer sightline. With this in mind, the Callum’s opted for a three-door set in 3+0 configuration which would allow them to use the lead door as an everyday access door for flexible usage on a daily basis. Hipca White in a gloss finish (9910G) was chosen for a more contemporary look and also matches the internal walls and adds a bright feel to the living space inside.
A Swift Installation and Seamless Result
The doors were installed by local Premium Origin Partner, Open Living and the Callum’s were impressed at the fast and swift installation completed by them.
Now installed, the doors perfectly frame the garden that the Callum’s like to keep landscaped and looking its best. The doors make for a seamless transition to the outdoors, making the kitchen diner the perfect space for entertaining and dining.
