Defining Space with Character Using the Soho Collection
Products and colours in project:
- OI-30 Internal Doors
- OB-36+ French Doors
- RAL colours: 6020M Chrome Green and 3011M Brown Red
When interiors enthusiast and influencer Mo (@mo_and_the_jungle_shelf on Instagram) began designing his forever home, he envisioned more than just practical solutions. After discovering Origin’s products on social media, he saw an opportunity to make a statement with doors and windows that offered both thermal efficiency and elevated design. Knowing these elements would shape the flow and feel of each room, Mo chose the Origin Soho Collection, combining OI-30 internal doors with OB-36+ French doors for a perfect blend of style and function.
His selections included a striking OI-30 French door in RAL 6020M Chrome Green to divide the sitting room from the kitchen, and a bold pantry door in RAL 3011M Brown Red, both echoing tones used throughout the kitchen. To create cohesion between indoors and out, Mo opted for two coordinating sets of OB-36+ Soho French doors leading to his Mediterranean-inspired patio. Matched in configuration and colour, the symmetry between the internal and external doors is a smart design choice, using bold colour and thoughtful transitions to bring a sense of harmony throughout the space.
A Design-Led Collaboration
Every element of Mo’s project was carefully considered, from door placement and configuration to how each feature interacted with the surrounding interiors and finishes. The aim was to create visual flow and interest throughout the home, while also ensuring each space functioned beautifully and efficiently. The Soho doors act as a natural extension of Mo’s interior style, combining bold architectural form with curated colour choices and brass accents. While striking in their own right, these doors blend effortlessly into the home’s overall aesthetic, enhancing its charm and personality.
Why the OI-30 and OB-36+?
The OI-30 and OB-36+ systems do more than solve practical needs; they double as architectural highlights, introducing style and light throughout the home. Their expansive glazing and bespoke steel-look bars establish strong visual lines while still allowing light to flood in.
Mo’s choice of RAL 6020M Chrome Green for both internal and external doors perfectly compliment his broader palette; from the kitchen island to the guttering and roof tiles, what might have felt like a daring hue instead becomes a subtle thread linking inside and out. In the kitchen, the RAL 3011M Brown Red pantry door makes its own confident statement. It enhances the existing scheme and mirrors the earthy warmth of the burnt-red tiles, a perfect example of colour theory at its finest.
Beyond their striking finishes, the true beauty of these systems is their bespoke nature. Whether his spaces were compact or expansive, Mo enjoyed complete design freedom. Origin’s tailored configurations meant no compromises, so every door fits perfectly and performs brilliantly.
More Than Just Doors
Mo’s project is a brilliant example of how Origin’s Soho Collection goes beyond utility, transforming doors and windows into defining features of a home’s personality. These doors don’t just divide space; they shape it. Whether used as transitional elements or bold design statements, the OI-30 and OB-36+ systems show how well-designed doors can influence the character and flow of a home.
Mo reimagined what a pantry could be, using the OI-30 as a design opportunity rather than an afterthought. The result is a small, striking corner that might otherwise have been overlooked, now elevated through colour, form and thoughtful detailing.
The finished home feels curated, cohesive and intentional, with every detail carefully considered and each space enhanced by beautiful, purpose-driven design.
