Designed with Intention

For Joanna Fletcher, the creative force behind the Instagram account @project_34_selfbuild, every element of her self-build home was carefully considered. As a home interiors influencer, her brief went beyond simple functionality. Internal doors needed to contribute to the architecture of the space, enhancing both flow and visual impact while aligning with her refined design aesthetic.

A bit about the Partner

Joanna’s doors were expertly installed by Arctic Glass (UK) Limited, a Blackburn-based glazing and door specialist with over 15 years’ presence in the North West of England. Arctic Glass was incorporated in December 2009 and has established itself as a trusted local supplier and installer of bespoke windows, doors and aluminium solutions.

Their experienced team ensured precision installation of Joanna’s OI30 Internal Doors, carefully integrating each unit with the home’s architectural lines and lighting conditions, resulting in a refined finish that complements her interior vision.

A Cohesive Specification

To achieve a seamless design language across the home, Joanna selected Origin’s OI30 Internal Door in two configurations. Both doors were finished in 9005M Jet Black with Brushed Black handles, creating a strong, consistent aesthetic that works beautifully within her scheme.

The French Door Statement

At the heart of the home, a French OI30 Internal Door set creates a defined yet open divide between key living spaces. The ultra-slim aluminium frames and expansive glazing allow light to travel effortlessly through the interior, maintaining a sense of connection while subtly organising the layout.

This set is completed with Origin’s Signature Knurled thumbturn in Brushed Black, a refined detail that adds texture and tactility while elevating the overall design.

Where Function Meets Interior Design

Across both spaces, the OI30 Internal Door proves that internal glazing can be both functional and design-forward. The ultra-slim sightlines, bold Jet Black finish and carefully selected hardware allow the doors to sit seamlessly within the wider interior, complementing layered textures, warm lighting and curated styling.

For Joanna, the OI30 offered the perfect balance of structure, flexibility and refined design. Delivered and installed by Arctic Glass with craftsmanship and attention to detail, the result enhances not only how the home looks but how it is experienced.
