A Full House of Origin Slimline Windows
After moving into their Buckinghamshire property in 2013, the Halls family decided to modernise their home with sleek grey aluminium windows - more specifically, with Origin’s new OW-70 Slimline Window.
Replacing uPVC windows...
Origin’s OW-70 Window replaced white uPVC windows, which had begun to warp and made the windows difficult to operate. White uPVC windows are commonly used in property developments because they are non-offensive and inexpensive. However, uPVC scuffs and wears very easily; warps and corrodes in varying weather conditions; and can actually increase your energy bills through poor thermal efficiency. It’s for this reason that the Halls wanted to upgrade their plastic windows with a high quality material that not only looked modern, but was also practical, functional and would last a long time. Peace of mind with a comprehensive guarantee...
With two sets of Origin Bi-fold Doors already installed in their kitchen and living room, the Halls knew that Origin products were high quality and came with a comprehensive guarantee which gave them complete peace of mind. So, when it came to choosing their new windows, it was a no brainer to go with Origin again. And, when they saw that Origin was offering a new window with ultra-slim sightlines called OW-70, they decided it was the window for them.
Modern windows in Dark Metallic Silver...
The couple chose their windows in Dark Metallic Silver (9007M), which not only matched the colour of their existing bifold doors, but was also a popular colour option. Origin’s popular colours are available on a ‘your lead time, not ours’ promise, meaning the windows are available in as little as 24 hours and can be delivered on a date to suit you. The Halls even decided to paint their garage door the same Dark Metallic Silver shade after they had their windows installed, which adds curb appeal to the property and really makes the colour of the windows pop. This shade adds a real contemporary look to the red brick property with accents of oak and dark wood both inside and outside the house.
They opted for a metallic chrome handle finish for all their windows and chose a combination of configurations of casement and fixed windows across the house. Many of the windows feature Georgian Bars, which the couple had on their previous windows and liked.
More than just good looks...
Overall, this family are very happy with their new windows and are glad they made the switch from plastic windows to aluminium windows. The new colour offers a modern, contemporary feel to their property, which the white uPVC couldn’t offer. Not to mention, the family have noticed positive changes to their energy bills and can also hear much less noise from the main road, thanks to premium grade aluminium.
