A Stunning Setting, for Every Occasion
Back in 1983, Kate and Tom moved out of London to Beaconsfield. They wanted to experience village life in a rural location, and have never looked back, having now lived in the same property for more than 30 years.
In 1988, when the children were small, the couple built an extension to give them the extra living space that a growing family required. Then in 2016 when the neighbours planned an extension, Kate and Tom decided to further extend their property at the same time. This not only gave them extra space but the opportunity to replace the existing French doors and window with an Origin Bifold six door set (3+3) to get full visibility of their beautiful mature garden.
Installed by GX Home Improvements, Kate also took the opportunity to update the extension's interior to complement her doors. "I love Autumn, so I used autumnal colours in our living room, subtle hints to make everything more homely. We also bought some Lombok furniture and a new kitchen splashback, to make the space even more inviting."
Kate wanted only the best doors to realise her vision. She visited shows, researched extensively online and eventually chose Origin. Not least, because the 20-year guarantee gave her complete peace of mind. This Autumnal inspiration was one reason why she opted for dual colour doors, another standout feature of Origin's product offering. The special RAL colour 8004M perfectly complemented her new interior, while externally the white reflected the light outside and matched the style of the property.
Three months after fitting the doors, Kate decided to install Origin pleated blinds to keep everything cosy during the winter months. She visited Origin's showroom at High Wycombe to see the blinds in action and decided there and then that she wanted them.
Kate and Tom's new doors perfectly frame the stunning garden outside, while also giving them a relaxing view of the attractive local countryside to the left of their property. Kate describes it best: "When all the doors are open, you feel like you're actually in the garden even when you're in the house. You're immersed, with no boundaries between outside and inside. It's a wonderful feeling."
As well as being a comfortable, relaxing living space, the couple's extension has also become a useful entertaining area. They've had some great parties and get-togethers, and use it all year round. In fact, in many ways, it's now their favourite part of the house.
