Origin was the Perfect Choice for this High Spec Development

Father son building team, Bob and Ben, set out to build four high spec properties after a beautifully situated plot of land became available to them.

The properties would be four and five-bedroom detached family homes, each benefiting from large wrap around gardens and views of the picturesque Chelmsford countryside. With the view in mind, Bob and Ben decided that they wanted to use glass to enhance the feeling of spaciousness and frame the stunning countryside surrounding the homes.

Quality Was a Must

The properties were designed with quality in mind, so Bob and Ben wanted doors and windows that would complement the high spec homes. Son, Ben, looks after the design aspect of the builds and having only ever used PVC windows in previous projects, he wanted to explore options for a stronger material. With the vision to incorporate large expanses of glass into the homes, Ben knew that he’d need to source a material that would be stronger and more reliable. Thermal efficiency was also important, since the properties would be brand new – they wanted to ensure that they’d be as thermally efficient and as economical as possible. Bob and Ben were pleasantly surprised at how swiftly the team were able to install the products with such minimal disruption to the rest of the build. When asked what advice Clive would give to other people doing a similar project, he commented ‘It’s so important to keep in regular contact with the client. The Stunning Final Result

The final result with the doors and windows installed is just breath-taking. Ben commented ‘The floor to ceiling glass makes an excellent, lasting impression. We’re so happy we went for Origin.’ He has said that potential buyers are taken aback by the amazing new builds and particularly love the floor to ceiling glass and the openness that the windows and doors help to create. 

The properties turned out even better than Bob and Ben ever imagined. So much so, that Ben has decided to move into one with his family. ‘It wasn’t always the plan, but how could I not? The final result is just brilliant, and the location is perfect.’ said Ben.

Two of the remaining three properties have now sold, after just weeks of being on the market.
