Visiting an Origin Showroom in a Post COVID-19 World

The Origin Buckinghamshire Showroom is open by appointment only.

Prior to the appointment, you will need to have read and agreed to this Health and Safety Document which outlines the protocols we’re putting in place and expect of you in order to maintain social distancing and safety in an effort to minimise the risk of spread.

Before You Visit

Bookings are made through the website and appointments will be strictly 30 minutes. This allows for cleaning before and after each visit, so it’s important to be punctual. When booking, all contact details will need to be provided for track and trace purposes.

At this moment, we’re unable to accept walk-in appointments as this statement needs to be read, understood and adhered to prior to arrival.

Once you complete the booking and adhere to this statement, an email confirmation will be sent to you.

Appointments will be with 1 Origin representative and 1 ‘bubble’ exclusively. This could be members of the same household, but we would ask to keep visitors to a minimum where possible.

The Origin representative will be wearing a face covering and as in retail, the same is expected of the ‘bubble’, so please bring your own face covering with the exception of those who are under the age of 11.

 

During the Appointment

Upon arrival, the temperature of all attending within the ‘bubble’ using the touch free facial scanner by our office manager. If anyone has a temperature of 37.8degrees and above, the whole group will be asked to leave and rebook. From there, it is advised to check with current UK Government guidance in next steps for you to take.

All attendees will need to be well and have not experienced/ are experiencing symptoms. We will also not allow access to those who have been in contact with someone who has experienced the known COVID-19 symptoms, or for those who are awaiting a test result.

Assuming all is okay, you’ll be asked to sanitise your hands, sign in using our guest logbook whilst your Origin representative will be called to come downstairs from the offices.

Only 1 ‘bubble’ will be in the showroom at a one time; there will not be multiple appointments happening simultaneously, but you’re not permitted to go elsewhere on site such as upstairs into our offices, in the canteen or in meeting rooms. If you did need to visit the rest room, there’s a specific Customer toilet available to be used.

Face coverings - for both the ‘bubble’ and Origin representative - will need to be worn at all times when in the Origin premises. Social distancing measures will be adhered to at all times, so there will be no physical contact or the shaking of hands as an example.

If children are present, please ensure they are supervised at all times as we’re trying to minimise contact and unnecessary touching of the products.

We are not able to offer hot beverages, but will be able offer bottles of water to have and keep. This would need to be taken away by you. You can bring your own, but we’re not able to fill it up.

Hand sanitising stations are available to use in the showroom area.

If the Origin representative is concerned that any of the visiting ‘bubble’ or their own safety is being put at unnecessary risk, they will have the right to ask you to leave the building as per Origin’s risk control protocol.

 

After the Visit

At the end of the visit, hand sanitiser is available to be used in the reception area. Please sign out of the guestbook and leave through the main entrance door. Your face covering will need to be on until after leaving the premises.

As mentioned previously, contact details will be need taken for track and trace purposes. Please ensure you update us if these change within 14 days of your visit.

From there, the Origin representative will thoroughly clean the products and areas that were used as demonstration.

 

FAQ’s

Q: Can I take pictures?

A: Yes, but we ask for you to use your own device.

Q: Can I touch/ use the products?

A: Yes, you will be able to interact/ operate the products. There are hand sanitisation stations available for you to use throughout your visit.

Q: Is there a one-way system in place?

A: No, this is not needed as we are allocating time slots for 1 ‘bubble’ at a time.

Q: Can I just turn up for a showroom visit?

A: No, we are asking for you to book your appointment in advance so we can ensure the showroom is ready for you.

Q: If I don’t have a face mask, what should I do?

A: We are happy for you to wear a face visor or a face covering. 

Q: Are you able to provide drinks?

A: Yes, but it will only be bottles of water that you'll need to take away with you. During this time, we can't offer hot drinks or refills. 

Q: I've booked an appointment, but can't make it or I've now developed symptoms. What shall I do?

A: Follow the current advice of the government and let us know and we'll reschedule your appointment.
